Welcome to Northstar Montessori Preschool

Northstar Montessori, under the direction of Tami Elliott, has been providing quality care for children in the Saline area for over 18 years. At our location on West Russell Street, we provide a safe, loving, home like environment for children to learn and grow using the Montessori method.

Our families include children from 6 weeks to 6 years old. We are an independently owned and operated business, whose number one priority is the success of your child.

Families who wish to enroll at Northstar Montessori must complete the following steps:

  1. Register Your Child/ren on the Waitlist
  2. Schedule a Tour
  3. Complete the Registration Forms
  4. Provide Health Appraisal and Vaccination forms

Financial Assistance Programs

A multi-child discount is available for families with three or more enrolled children. A 25% discount is applied to the oldest child’s tuition while all siblings are actively enrolled. Discounts may not be combined with other offers.
If you cannot afford child care, payment assistance is available. Use MI Bridges to apply for assistance, check your eligibility status and manage your account.
Through MI Tri-Share, the cost of an employee’s child care is shared equally among the employer, the employee, and the State of Michigan – a three-way split – with coordination provided by the MI Tri-Share statewide administrative partner.
The Family Support Program (FSP) provides short-term child care scholarships to help families reduce stress, move toward greater financial stability, and access the care their children need.

      Northstar families are invited to join us for our Spring School Spruce Up Day! 

      Put on your outdoor working clothes, grab a pair of work gloves, and come help us prepare our garden beds, tend to our annual spring cleaning, and complete projects around the grounds and building.

      Come for the whole morning or just part of the day as your schedule allows. Children are welcome to tag along and help with School Spruce Up Day. A light brunch will be available.

      Please RSVP HERE so we can make sure to have enough supplies and refreshments. Please note, this is NOT a drop off event--each child attendee must be accompanied by an adult.

      Preschool Room Parents: Our Annual Preschool Field Day will be held Wednesday, May 27th, 9-11 am on Northstar’s school grounds. We are looking for parent volunteers to help make the day a success, so if you’re interested, a sign-up form will be available as the event draws closer! ALL parent volunteers must complete their volunteer paperwork prior to Field Day--it only takes about 10 minutes, and you can stop by the office anytime between 8:30am and 5pm to do so. Wednesday June 3rd will be our rain date.

      Northstar student will have a Half Day today. Please send a snack for your student, but do not send a lunch. All students will need to be picked up no later than 12:00pm.

      You are cordially invited to Northstar Montessori's Spring Preschool Program and Graduation! Please join us June 6th, 11am at the Liberty School Auditorium as we celebrate our preschool students and say “Congratulations!” to those going on to young fives or kindergarten in the fall. Each preschool class will be performing a song or skit as part of the day’s program. Graduating students will process across the stage and receive certificates. Each family is asked to bring a food item to share for the reception that will follow our program.
